Mission
1) to promote programs in aging in UCSF’s Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, and Pharmacy
2) to facilitate communication and collaboration among UCSF programs in aging
3) to seek opportunities to collaborate with the recently funded UCSF Clinical and Translational Research Institute in promoting aging research, and
4) to nurture relationships with aging-related programs in the broader community.
History
The Center on Aging was formed in November 1992 by an affiliation agreement between the Regents of the University of California, on behalf of UCSF and the Goldman Institute on Aging, formerly known as the Mount Zion Institute on Aging.
